Are you looking for the perfect CPAP machine you can travel with while staying compliant with yours sleep apnea therapy? The ResMed AirMini CPAP machine may be the perfect solution for you.

Here at Sleep Resolutions, we recognize that the key to successful CPAP therapy is finding the perfect CPAP therapy system.  A variety of CPAP machines and masks are available for a patient to choose.  This article will focus on one of the most popular CPAP machines: the ResMed AirMini.

If you have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, you likely stop breathing at night for a brief period. You may also suffer from a variety of daytime side effects, including fatigue, irritability, and memory loss, to name a few.

CPAP therapy consists of two components:  a mask, which comes with headgear, and the machine.  The purpose of the CPAP machine is to deliver the continuous positive airway pressure through the tubing, directly to the patient.   This continuous airway pressure helps keep the patient’s airway open throughout the entire night.

The Resmed Airmini CPAP machine is a unique system because of its small and convenient size.

It features 6’2 inch tubing to connect to the mask of your choice, as well as a standard 6-foot power supply cord.

The AirMini’s size makes it a convenient system without sacrificing quality.  It features HumidX, a new travel-friendly technology.  The humidex is a waterless humidification system, enhancing its portability while improving moisture levels.

Patient’s can easily retrieve their sleep scores from the machine.  This tiny system even stores 30 days worth of data.  This memory system allows you to track your sleep progress while vacationing or traveling.

AirMini CPAP Special Features

This makes this machine ideal for those who frequently travel by air. It also features an automatic altitude adjustment for those who change elevation while traveling.

Another special quality is its automatic setting.  The AirMini has three specific operation settings: CPAP, AutoSet, and AutoSet for her.

The CPAP mode will allow a fixed pressure setting.  The AutoSet feature will adjust pressure changes to ensure the patient is receiving the lowest pressure setting possible, without sacrificing quality treatment.

Troubleshooting your AirMini CPAP

My CPAP won’t turn on?

If your AirMini was previously in working order, and suddenly will not power up, the first thing to check is your outlet.  Make sure all the electrical connections are firmly in place. If this fails, take your Airmini to your local home medical equipment retailer.

My CPAP is Too Noisy?

The ResMed AirMini is designed to be a nearly silent machine that won’t disturb you or your partner’s sleep.  If you notice your machine is making excessive noise, you may want to check HumidX filter. This needs to be changed regularly to ensure proper ventilation.  If your machine is still making unusual noises, take it to your local CPAP retailer to ensure the machine is working properly.
